Bus pick-up order from hotels

- On the way back to Levi the bus will drive via the Kittilä Airport. Please take your luggage with you to the excursion bus.
Please note the following
- Due to safety requirements, the alcohol tolerance is 0‰. Each participants is tested before entering the mining area.
- Depending on the program, safety equipment and shoes are given to participants at the mine.
- If you are pregnant, please contact the excursion leader in the beginning of the excursion and inform him/her about this.
- Please note up-to-date FEM conference health instructions before entering the excursion transportation. We will keep you informed.

Boliden Kevitsa open pit mine is located 140 kilometers north of Rovaniemi in Sodankylä municipality in northern Finland. Kevitsa is a nickel – copper sulphide deposit with important gold, cobalt and platinum-group-metals by-product credits. In 2023, around 9.8 Mt of ore was mined and processed into nickel and copper concentrates. Metal production in 2023 was circa 10 000 tons of nickel and 20 000 tons of copper in concentrate.
Rupert Resources is a gold exploration and development company with an operating base in Sodankylä in northern Finland and listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol “RUP.” The Company is focused on making and advancing discoveries of scale and quality with high margin potential and low environmental impact. The Company’s principal focus is Ikkari, a 4Moz gold deposit in Northern Finland, one of the best new gold discoveries globally of the last decade, which was first drilled in 2020. In 2022 the company published a preliminary economic assessment for the project and plans to publish a Prefeasibility Study for the project in Q1 2025.
