Fennoscandian Exploration and Mining (FEM 2023) participants, presenters and exhibitors must register for the conference in advance and pay the registration fee. Registration opens on this page on Wednesday 1 March 2023.

As FEM 2023 is not a fair, entrance to the conference and trade show is open only for registered participants wearing the event name badge.

*  Participant fee includes programme, trade show, lunches on Wednesday and Thursday, refreshments during breaks and the Ice-breaker Party on Tuesday 31 October 2023. The Fennoscandian Mining Night has a separate price/person.

** Student registration fee is applied to full-time undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students. Please provide proof of a full-time student status (ID card or letter from your institution or program director). NB! If you register as student with lower registration fee, your job title should be student and organization the school in which you are studying.

Participants are encouraged to register in advance and as early as possible in order to benefit from lower registration fees as well as cheaper flight costs.

Please choose your payment type on the online registration form. The options are

  • Online bank transfer (Finnish banks)
  • Online credit card payment (Visa, MasterCard, EuroCard, Amex)
  • Invoice. The invoice will be sent to you separately by the conference office. Please remember to specify a possible separate invoicing address on the registration form. Invoicing fee 10 € will be added to all invoices.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations must be made in writing. Registration fee will be refunded if cancellation is received before 4 September 2023. No refunds will be made after this date. Please note that a processing fee of 50 € will be deducted from all refunds.

Health and safety
Safety is important part of responsibility. When attending a FEM conference, we expect participants to show courtesy to each other with a professional manner and to follow appropriate care in relation to health and safety. We do not tolerate any form of harassment. Entrance to FEM is for registered participants only. Please keep your name badge clearly visible at the conference venue, as security personnel will check it at main entrances.

Finnish Government 1 September 2022: ”In Finland, it is no longer necessary to show your EU Digital COVID Certificate when attending events, visiting food and beverage service businesses or entering the country. However, the situation may be different in other countries. If you are planning to travel, it is important to check the current requirements for entry into your country of destination with that country’s authorities.”

Delegates are responsible for their own safety and belongings. The registration fee does not cover insurance for the delegates. The organizers recommend that delegates take out insurance in their home country to cover pre-journey cancellation for personal reasons and necessary insurance to cover accidents, medical expenses and loss of personal belongings during the visit.

Force majeure
The organizers are not liable for any claims for damages and/or losses if the entire conference has to be cancelled due to a force majeure incident.
